La Belle Nuit is dedicated to promoting and improving nightlife quality in Lausanne and across French-speaking Switzerland, and to valuing its local culture.
Une fondation née d'un constat partagé A foundation born from a shared insight
La Belle Nuit est née d'un dialogue continu entre les exploitant·e·s de la nuit lausannoise, les autorités publiques et les acteurs de la prévention. Notre conviction commune : la vie nocturne mérite d'être pensée, encadrée et valorisée comme tout autre champ de la vie sociale. La Belle Nuit was born from an ongoing dialogue between Lausanne nightlife operators, public authorities and prevention actors. Our shared conviction: nightlife deserves to be thought through, framed and valued like any other field of social life.
En tant que fondation à but non lucratif, nous travaillons aux côtés de la Ville de Lausanne, du Canton de Vaud, de GastroLausanne, GastroVaud, de la Fondation Vaudoise contre l'Alcoolisme et de la Commission Suisse des Bars et Clubs, ainsi qu'avec les artistes, les exploitants et le public. As a non-profit foundation, we work alongside the City of Lausanne, the Canton of Vaud, GastroLausanne, GastroVaud, the Vaud Foundation against Alcoholism and the Swiss Bars and Clubs Commission, alongside artists, operators and the public.

Au cœur de notre action, la charte La Belle Nuit. Un cadre de référence qui rassemble des clubs et bars lausannois et vaudois autour de principes communs : respect et inclusion, prévention et réduction des risques, valorisation de la vie nocturne, comportements éco-responsables. At the heart of our action, the La Belle Nuit charter. A reference framework bringing together Lausanne and Vaud clubs and bars around shared principles: respect and inclusion, prevention and harm reduction, valuing of nightlife, eco-responsible practices.
Co-construite avec la Ville de Lausanne, GastroLausanne, la Fondation Vaudoise contre l'Alcoolisme et la Commission Suisse des Bars et Clubs, elle propose un langage commun aux acteurs de la nuit. Co-built with the City of Lausanne, GastroLausanne, the Vaud Foundation against Alcoholism and the Swiss Bars and Clubs Commission, it offers a shared language for the actors of the night.

Le festival Les Rencontres La Belle Nuit rassemble artistes, exploitants, autorités, chercheur·euse·s, journalistes et noctambules autour de tables rondes, de conférences, d'ateliers et de soirées à travers la ville de Lausanne. The Les Rencontres La Belle Nuit festival brings together artists, operators, authorities, researchers, journalists and night owls around round tables, conferences, workshops and evenings across Lausanne.
Économie de la nuit, sociologie, culture, prévention, écologie, inclusion : autant de sujets de fond que nous abordons pendant le festival, sans jamais oublier la fête. Comme l'indique son nom, ce festival est avant tout un lieu de rencontres. Night economy, sociology, culture, prevention, ecology, inclusion: foundational topics we tackle during the festival, without ever forgetting the celebration itself. As its name suggests, this festival is above all a place of encounters.
